Error in posting Item Journal

In posting item journal i encountered this error "Item tracking serial no. lot no. XXXX for item no. XXXX variant cannot be fully applied.

    You should navigte to the tracking page and see whats happening and why system is actually denying, this seems to be a genuine out of the box error.

    Which means that it needs modification in NAV? Is there any workaround to handle this issue?

    Don't you get availability warnings on the Item Tracking page?

    What exactly are you posting? inbound or outbound? with bin or without?

    Issue: We are trying to adjust/reverse item with lot no. but blank expiration date.

    Action: We made negative adjustment thru Warehouse Physical Inventory Journal, then caculate in Item Journal. Upon posting we encountered the above-mentioned error.
    Item has bin.
