No Intellisense in Nav 2018

Hi All,

i have installed nav 2018 (11.0.19394) on my development computer.
there is also 2016 on it.
in 2016 the intellisense in C/AL editor works fine. But in 2018 it doesnt work. there are no line numbers as well.
is this some kind of setup isue? or does it need some kind of Visual studio version?

From what folder are you running finsql.exe ?
Properly you are running the server version of finsql.exe

Could be something like:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\110\Service\finsql.exe

if that is the case then run finsql.exe from the client folder.
Something like:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\110\RoleTailored Client\finsql.exe
