NAV 2009 classic report designer error: supported version of visual studio could not be found

in NAV/Navision Classic Client
This never happen in the past. But suddenly, all our PCs are unable to load the report designer. I have tried to install Visual Studio 2008SP1 with Report Viewer and NAV 2009 classic end up opening a blank report inside the Visual Studio Report Viewer instead of NAV 2009 Classic Report Designer.

I have search thru this forum and the solutions is to install Visual Studio with Report Viewer, which I have already done as above.

    The issue is resolved. As there is no page for this database, we should use view > section instead of view > layout.

    I didnt know you would need visual studio for designing the classic reports?

    are you using rdlc layout or classic layout for report designing in NAV 2009?

    Got confused after switching back to NAV 2009 from NAV 2017.
