How do you get your Bank Statement in order to Import it

Hi ,
i have looked a lot of video "How do I" , that explain how to import a bank statement.
My question is : How do you get the file to Import ?
My bank teller said to me that I can't download this file , and I have to use a software which create a EBICT TS channel and pull this file to my server. He can provide me credential to configure this software.
How do you do that, which software do you use ?
