Opening balance has to be through Item Journal, Physical Inv. Journal is used when there is something to adjust compared to the calculated quantities.0

Item Journals
If you have Warehouse then do it from Warehouse Item Journal then followed bu item Journal -->Calculate Whse AdjustmentsThanks
