problem going to main table of a field

is there anything we have to do so axapta allow to go to the main table of a field on a given form... in my application i have 2 tables .. a field in second table is reference key to another... i have 2 forms each linked to the above table. when i open a form and try to go to main table of the related field, i get the message "Warning: NO object specified on menu item XXX" what's the problem and what the solution.
