Navision 2009 connection to Outlook

Hi
We are running Navision 2009 in terminal environment and Outlook 2016 running locally. Whenever we try to send an email from Navision, the outlook window pops up and we press Send and the email appears to be sent but nothing shows up in inbox or in sent items. This works flawlessly when we use Outlook running on the terminal server. But we don´t want that. We need Navision to run on TS and Outlook locally.
Is this doable?

You should use SMTP and send emails direclty from NAV, not using Outlook. Take a look at codeunit 400.0
