I have a problem with one of our customers. One of the workers has a new laptop, and needs to install the NAV client on it. The installation DVD ins't on the server, someone has erased it....
The version is 9.0.42815.0. Looking to the documentation, seems to be the very first version of NAV2016, without any CU. The DVD isn't available to download from the support page. Is there any way to download it? I know that is not the best way to work, but it is what it is, I know....
Any other way? If I install the client of a newer CU, will connect correctly with the server??

As a workaround, you can take the W1:

After the installation, the missing language folders, *.stx and *.etx files etc. in the client folders can be copied from another laptop, as the W1 only offers the ENU versions there.
A newer CU will not work in most cases (possible database conversions since the RTM version, client <-> server build conflicts etc.)
I've downloaded the DVD from the partner source, and problem solved.
