Web Client Field Dropdown Slow

We had a customer go live recently with NAV 2018 CU7 using the Web Client.

Generally all is good but when on, for example, a sales order and they start typing into the Customer No., it is very slow to show the list.

We've noticed that the SQL for getting this not only gets the fields specified in the DropDown Field Group but also all of the standard fields and all of the fields in any extensions (of which there are a few).

Has anyone else had this issue and does anyone know of any ways to speed this up?

    Sorry, to update it is the Item No. field on the Sales Line which is slow.
