How to remove filter settings on page that keep on erroring

Today we had this strange issue, which we cannot reproduce and cannot solve either:

• User open back orders list page
• Enters a long filter sting on No. copied from an Excel sheet, being the following two columns
• No. Pipe char

• Creates a view for this page
• Closes the page
• Reopens the page using the view link
• An error is thrown telling the text superceeds 1024 chars
• User cannot use the page

Removing the view does not solve the issue as from now on the error also appears when wanting to create a new view per the steps above. Removing personalizations also does not solve it.
It looks like filter

• setting is kept somewhere but cannot be "touched"
• copying the columns above probably also copied some non-printable character(s)

Any tips on how stop the error appearing?

Removing the PersonalizationStore.xml in folder AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Microsoft Dynamics NAV did solve the issue.
