Can the Windows Client (Dynamics NAV) use more than 1 core?

When the client is installed on a server with multiple cores can the Windows client make use of the extra cores?
We're running Dynamics NAV 2015.
And is there a difference if you have a local installation of the client or use the clickonce installer?

I know that processing takes place on the server but the client still needs to do a lot of rendering of pages and reporting.
So with that in mind, will more cores have an impact on the performance of the client?
