Production of our finished manufactured items takes around 3 to 4 weeks and comprises various operations at different work centres. In order to help manage inventory we use routes along with route link codes so that purchased components are delivered at the appropriate time during the manufacturing process. There are several hundred purchased components on any one finished item. When the order is released we need to pick the purchased components required for the first operation. As the item progresses through the production process we need to see which items need picking for each stage. The pick list shows all the material requirements for the order with no indication at what stage material is required. When production starts many items on the pick list are not scheduled to be delivered for a couple of weeks.
Is there a way to generate a pick list by operation number, work centre etc?
