IC management

I've used it in the past in some project but mostly to distribute expenses between companies, for example local rent, security services, etc. This kind of operations are against G/L and throw invoice and I've worked nicely but now I'm trying to manage items and starting in order.

I've some problems and I want to know if I'm right of I've done something wrong:
- Once you've register and send some items, if you add new line items and you register them as well; it doesn't work.
- The location doesn't reflect in the company that receives items and lot numbers aren't copy as well.

I've also a doubt. I've seen that you can't change a company to IC if they've open entries. It could be a hard problem, what could be the consecuences to change it with those entries still open?
