Over Picking on Warehouse Pick Lines?

We have a requirements where client needs to update the quantity to handle field with a greater quantity than the quantity field on the warehouse pick. Has anyone implemented this type of picking before? The reason for this is they consume steel sheets and coil and cannot just pick partial quantities that the pick gets calculated for. Please advise. Client is using NAV 2018.

See if you are doing Create Pick from Warehouse Shipment then it takes the total Quantity from Shipment and then from Pick Page its you call to go for partial pick or complete. Now if you want to pick more quantity then what you have then I will suggest to handle this from shipment instead of Pick page.

In Shipment enter Qty to Ship more than the actual quantity and then update the same in SO followed y the current Shipment Page and then create Pick from this.

This way data process and data integrity will be maintained,
