Extended Pricing - Overlapping price sheets for the same item, same customer

Hi Experts,
I am using Dynamics GP 2018 and I have a problem regarding extended pricing for the following scenario.
Let say I have a certain price for an item in the base price sheet.
But in addition to that, I have two custom price sheets for the same item, for the same time period, which is assigned to a customer.
Both price sheets are active.
In the case, if I place a Sales Order for the same customer, for same item, no price is getting picked for the item in the sales line.
Is this the correct behavior? or is this a bug in the ERP?
