Using xmlports to import data vs RapidStart NAV 2017

Curious what everyone thinks. Is it better to use RapidStart or xmlports to import data?
I understand RapidStart has some features like "get related tables" and such... but really, it seems you can move just as fast, if not faster, but just trying to import data with an xmlport and then - when the import fails because "XYZ" table doesn't contain value "123" - you know you just need to import that table first. Then you keep doing this until you are able to import your original data.

IF you are experienced developer then either way is acceptable as you will take care of all necessary stuffs but if you are not that level then I will recommend Rapidstart as it takes care of everything!!Thanks
