Ive moved my navision fin server from
one machine to another and at the sametime
upgraded it and the clients ODBC driver.
On a new client I open excel and it says it
cannot access the link, then the ODBC config options comes up with the old data not the newly confgiured ODBC link.
What am i doing wrong ?

Have You changed the Server Name in that clients ODBC Data Source? Since You've moved Navision to an other server You must change the Data Source in the Control Panel on the client

Is the database link saved with the Excel sheet? Then you need to update this connection as well. Go in Excel to menu Data, Get External Data, Edit query.
