Process to send a mail in Navision?

I would like to know what is the process for i send a mail in Navision.
I want to click in a button and send a mail by a SMTP server.
What i have to do?

Search the forum on this topic is more trouble that it's worth. Can someone who knows try to answer this question directly rather than the confusing mass of miss-information in the sea other posts?

It appears you will need to download an OCX and one is here in the download section but I can't tell if it should work or if it's not a good one. There is some sample code in a forum post that seems to work and the search feature can get you that. The thread in the link doesn't really address SMTP and there are better ones here on that topic, just don't get lost in all the noise.

I wish we could just get a clear answer into a How-To section, we'll just have to see if someone can step up and help the newbies...

the SMTP OCX is very simple, but if you need more properties (for example another codepage for text, send HTML mail with attachment etc.) you have problems. I have good results with library jmail, which have more possible properties and actions. I was able to set it to work with Czech codepage, HTML body and attachments...
