Is there any better or cheaper solution for Nav 2009 invoice pdf printing than Bullzip version? I mean product what do not require a lot of code actions to work.
I am also using free DoPDF fropm time to time, also works OK. Bullzip is better imho as you can use it in batch printing predefining output and file naming rules..
What do yo meean by "lot of code actions to work"? 10 lines of code, 100 lines of code? In fact does not matter that much. No matter how many lines it requires write it once, wrap in functions, and later on in other places it will only require two extra lines - a call to change/setup the PDF printer before printing a report, and a call to restore default system setting after.
If you have more than 10 NAV users it means you are quite big company. You already spend £££££ on NAV license, and cost of Bullzip license is peanuts comparing to what you have to pay for NAV license.
It is worth supporting small companies like one developing Bullzip, why do you expect people to work for free for your company? But that's my opinion only, of course you are perfectly entitled to have a different one.
There are quite a few free PDF printers, as I've mentioned I am using DoPDF, there is also CutePDF, PrimoPDF etc. Google for it. In most cases when you use free PDF printer driver (rather than dedicated paid solution like AmyUni) amount of coding will be moreless the same - change default system printer to the PDF printer of your choice before running a report, and restore system settings to default after that.
