NAV 2009 R2 Job Queues not starting

hi
I am looking at a some job queues on a 2009 R2 system which refuse to start at the configured date and time.
Yesterday I stopped the NAS service I set the earliest start date and time 30/01/18 01:00 and the start time of 01:00, I then start the NAS service.
I checked today, nothing happened, nothing in the job queue log entries and nothing in the windows event logs.
The user that configured the job to run has super permissions and the password hasn't expired. Sometimes if I restart the NAS service after doing the above a job will randomly start but no other job will run afterwards.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance
Ercan.

I had to restart the Nav Services 1 by 1 on the server.. if you don't know how to do that then just restart the whole NAV server it's installed on. Also make sure when you restart everything you go into the Job Queue Card and make sure there is a heartbeat and your NAS settings are correct. Then go over to Jobe Queue Entries and make sure the status is listed as ready.-rico19310

Only the NAS service is relevant here. Or am I missing something?0

are you getting a heartbeat on your job queues?-rico19310

The heartbeat functionality isn't available in 2009 R20

oh wow you're right.. sorry it's been a while since I've been on 2009.. so i had to take a look at my notes from back then and it said if they were working but all of a sudden stopped working, to stop and restart these two services.. not sure why but it worked every time lol. Quicker than restarting the whole server

Thanks Rico but the server was restarted on the 27th and this issue has been happening for months.0

Important : the NAS is NOT multitasking. So if the NAS is running a task, it will not run another until the first task is finished. This might explain why the jobs are not running on the scheduled moment.
If you don't have jobs that are created by users, you can use webservices for it being called from PowerShell in SQL Server Agent.
I have done that for a customer with NAV2009R2 because NAS Jobqueue was too unreliable.
