works automation 'WinHTTP Version 5.1' for HTTPS?

Hello,
I am trying to authenticate against vendors' server, but I still receive HTTP error 400 (bad request)
After a time I think that automation 'WinHTTP Version 5.1' is not able to work with secure url: https
/xxxx.com/auth
Does anybody have please experiences with calling secure https form NAV 2009 client?
