Opening a PDF file from Navision 4.0

We have added a field to the resource card, the value of which is a PDF file (with its path).

My next task is to allow the user to open the PDF file.

I thought about using the Windows shell, for the Windows logo key + RUN but from what I read I cannot reference the Windows logo key.

I have also read in previous messages here, that the Adobe Acrobat reader cannot be accessed as an Automation server from Navision. I tried it anyway, and it did not work.

Has anyone else come up with something? Thanks.

Why not just:

HYPERLINK(recResource.PDFFilePath)

?

I'm not using 4.0 but i thought i read posts about Hyperlink failing in 4.0. Was this corrected with a hotfix or were those posts misleading?
