Username authentication from WebClient.

Hi all,

I have setup windows authentication in my NAV instance. When in web.config if I set authentication as "Windows" I'm able to connect successfully. But I have a requirement to connect to NAV using Username authentication via WebClient. My doubt is whether I can use windows authentication at the server instance level and use Username authentication at Web client level because I'm getting invalid user name password error (This mode works on Windows Client! ). Please note that I have created the certificates and added the certificate thumbprint to the NAV server instance.

UserName is Windows auth.
Maybe you mean NavUserPassword..?

Server Instance need to match client.
So Create a second instance.

Thanks for the reply. I just want to know whether adding a new instance on the same database will create any problem?
