Payroll 401K Catch Up

Hi Everyone,
Has anyone come up with a new way of entering the 401K Catch Up limit of $1000 after the employee turns 50. Navision suggesting making two new payroll groups and two new controls marking them 401K 50 EE and 401K ER. I am having trouble with a client who has security set up with the payroll groups. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
