Fixed Reorder Qty.

We are wanting to start using the planning worksheet for certain items. We want to make us of the Fixed Reorder Qty. ,Our aim is to say once an item goes below 10000 inventory, re order 50000. We don't want to use forecasts feature as for the items we want this to work for aren't able to be foretasted. I have set up the replenishment as such..

Reordering Policy : Fixed Reorder Qty.
Reorder Point : 10,001
Reorder Quantity : 50,000

Current Inventory is : 10000

When I run the planning worksheet I get back two lines of Quantity 50,000. I expect to see one, Why is this?

Secondly If I Run the worksheet for an item which has enough inventory (it's above the reorder point) it still creates a line on the planning worksheet, when I would think it shouldn't.

Please can someone explain this behavior, thanks!

Following up on what other users have written, issues with location is often the reason for what you see in your planning worksheet.

But old requirements as production orders or sales orders, with due date earlier than work date, can also create strange requisition lines.

Backing up with what gravecz said.. also make sure you are checking the SKU card for reordering policy.. these override anything in the Item Card.
