How to tell if the page is opened with New or Edit

Hi everyone,
I have some code that I want to execute only when I create a new sales order, not when I open it to edit or add some info...
How can I tell (in the code) wether I am in the first or the second case? Is that a way to make the difference (property or so)?
Thanks in advance

Hi poppins,
The trigger "OnNewRecord" will be executed when you push "New" on a Page.

OnNewRecord Trigger will do your Job as far as New Record is concerned, Rest is the editing. Thanks
