When are changes in codeunit 1 reflected on clients

Hi,
I have got a question regarding single instance codeunits: MSDN states that when setting the SingleInstance property to true The codeunit remains instantiated until you close the company.
If I change and recompile such a codeunit, does this also mean that the changes are only reflected after a user reopens the company? Or does Navision somehow spots an object change and flushes the codeunit? I guess not, as this could lead to some unexpecting results.
