Hi,
I have a question about the Navision Database Security. How secure is Navision? Is it accessable by some kind of tool to retrieve data (like creditcard information). Is the database encrypted?

Any help is welcome.

It is not encrypted, if the ODBC driver is installed then the data can be read by any program capable of ODBC queries, provided Username,Password & Companyname are known.

I think it really has to do with how secure do you want to make it.

Complexity of Passwords
Tight User Permissions & roles

Also how secure is your server, network? are you worried about outside infiltration or inside?

As we have seen recently with some banks - any system can be cracked if someone has the time & motivation.
