Copy live database to local copy

Hi All,

I am quite a newbie to Navision. I have just completed the Development 1 course and i would like to copy our live database to my laptop with which i can practice till my hearts content. My live d/base is on a tcp server with 5 companies. When i have done this what shortcut swithces do i need to use to point to the local copy?

Create a new shortcut for the client (fin.exe) and write database=MyDatabase (MyDatabase = pathname) replacing the servername=MyServer in the target line.

A good advice :
Rename the companies in your local DB and put TEST before the name.
This to help you avoid that you are playing on the real DB by accident.
