Problem solved I just created a page of type 'StandardDialog' with a textvariable (Length = '') and placed it in a gridlayout. The property 'Multiline' of the textbox must be set equal to TRUE. In this way I have a textbox which can be re-sized in both directions.

summernote.org/ is perfectly compatible to use as a control add-in. But most wysiwyg editors (javascript) will work fine.
