Standard Dialog Page VS Request Page

Hi all,

Can anyone explain when Standard Dialog Page is used and when a processing only report is used.

My requirement is to get User Inputs and add few records in only one table. What will be the best way to handle it - Standard Dialog Page or Processing only report ?

you can quickly go with processing only report but check which objects are more used by customer and you can use alternate object.
