to enter the value which is not in the lookup table

Hi all,

Can anybody tell me the property by setting which i can enter the value in the textfield which is not available in the lookup table?

e.g On the customer card See 'post code' field where we can enter the value which is not available in the lookup table whice for the salseperson code we can enter only that code which is available in the lookup table.

Please help.
