please note that i need an xmlport :
to import the item with its mandatory field ,
1. You need to check the mandatory field needed to create a new item.
2. Need to discuss if xmlport can modify the record if it is exist.

1. you need to import data to variables first in xmlport and check whether mandatory fields/variables are filled before inserting into NAV table.
2. yes, we can modify if record is existing already..

as you will be storing details in variables, you need to check first whether record is existing with No. if yes then modify otherwise insert.
