Subscribe to functions in standard objects

Working on upgrading to NAV 2017 and the possibility to subscribe to table triggers is great but can you subscribe to functions as well? Seems like none of the standard functions in tables/codeunits are published and if you need to publish them you might as well add the code directly in the standard object.

No you can't generically subscribe to functions. Microsoft are adding business/integration type publisher functions that you can subscribe to - but obviously you can only subscribe to the specific ones they have created.
