NAV 2016 error running debugger and objects from developer client

I have checked that the developer, service tier, and windows client are the same version.
I also examined the registry entries.
I could not find any other possibilities listed.
This is on customer equipment, so they only have the one build installed.

Anything else I should be looking for?
This is NAV 2016 CU8

    What is the error you are getting?

    run as administrator works - is this a Windows permissions problem?

    I don't think so, I think it's just something they changed in the client. I'm running a later client currently and don't have the problem so I think it's been fixed in a later CU.

    I believe there are some issue with Debugger on CU7 & CU8. Our developer had to upgrade the EXE (leaving the objects in CU7) to CU9.
