Is this a bug? I get an error on transferfields (we use that for reporting purposes).

Yes, and that's a bit naughty of Microsoft to do that.
You can work around this by doing a TRANSFERFIELDS to "Sales Header" as an intermediate table, e.g.
Sales Invoice Header --> Sales Header
Sales Header --> Sales Cr.Memo Header
This will also miss out a few other fields that are not in Sales Header but hopefully these are not important to you.
