Configuring a Role Center

Do people agree that if you configure a role center and hide a bunch of actions in the ribbon that the end user no longer has access to add these back? Once a configurator hides something, it is gone for good unless someone adds it back in configuration mode. Just looking for someone to confirm this.

yes, I agree.
and the changes are stored in Profile metadata table with that particular page id.
If someone deletes that record then also those hidden actions will show

I think this kind of a configuration can also be done in a more dynamic way. Visibility of the actions may be linked to a function which uses a role or a boolean value indicated in a setup. This way you can display the item whenever it is required and no further development will be needed. I think you already know disable personalization but it will be valid for all menu items in the profile.
