Password Protection for Documents (eg. Pdf, Excel, Word) generated by NAV 2016

Hi Experts!

Could we prompt a message to the user to provide a password to open an NAV generated document on the requst page?

If you are talking about generating a report in NAV, and allowing the user to print to PDF, then there is no standard feature in NAV that would prompt for a password - since printing a paper copy is an alternative output option.

If security for a particular report is a concern, then you can limit a user's ability to run the report at all. You could also customize that report or a group of reports requiring a second-level password be entered - but again, that would be a customization.
