Shortcut Dimension code replaces itself on the purchases invoice line

hello all,

i've this issue on the purchase invoice line, when purchase line transaction is created when i inserted value on the dimension code field the system automatically replaced it with another dimension value code which was not the one i selected

i need help pls

That's a client bug, I have exactly the same problem (NAV 2016 CU 7). Variables in subforms like the shortcut dimension array are sometimes calculated at the wrong time and therefore displayed as empty or displayed from the original dimension set after an input. I had to ask my customer only to use the action line/dimension to input shortcut dimensions in order to avoid inconsistencies.

The validation logic for the Item No. (No. field in table 39) will overwrite any existing dimensions for that line. If you are trying to set non-default dimension for that line, do that step last after you've put in the item and quantity.
