Code 128 barcode not readable by scanner

Hi,
Nav 2015 - report services report - I've downloaded Code 128 font and created a text field for our stock number. The bar code looks fine but won't scan. I've tried it with both an asterisk at front and back, and without. Stock numbers look like this: B2ST S-G or B2ST S/RW-W or LC5 S,HO-C. We're able to make code 128 labels with these same stock numbers in Word that scan without issue and in our label software. What am I missing to create a scannable 128 barcode in NAV 2015?
Thanks.

Installing barcode font Free 3 of 9 and then added code to put an asterisk before and after the value worked
AssemblyOrderBC:='*' + "Assembly Header"."No." + '*';

Note - we are using code 39 to create a scannable barcode with sales order numbers which scans fine and has an asterisk before and after the number in the expression. But that is a "number" while our stock numbers are alpha-numeric.0

the special chars '-' and '/' could be a problem. try without special chars.best regards

You need start and stop characters other than * and you need a checksum for Code 128. Furthermore, you cannot generally just print your code using the font, a mapping needs to occur. This mapping is dependent on your font's layout.
Here's a link to a free font, along with it's mapping and further explanations and instructions.
The code 1280 -
Thanks for the links.
Jonathan unfortunately neither of the downloads are compatible with NAV 2015.
