Qty. to ship must not be greater than 0 units in Warehouse Shipment Line

I am trying to complete a transfer order, in doing so I am going to the Warehouse Shipment card to complete the shipment. I get the error nothing to post when I try and post the shipment. When I try and autofill qty to ship the page cycles but nothing happens. When I try and change qty to ship from 0 to 1 I get the error Qty. to ship must not be greater than 0 units in Warehouse Shipment Line. I am trying to understand if there is in an issue with the way I am trying to process the transfer order or if there is something else I am missing.
Thank you in advance!

The create pick would come up with that message if there isn't any stock in pick-able bins. Or perhaps there is some but it's been allocated on other picks.5

depending on the selected location code's settings i assume a 'create pick' is needed.
for details follow https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh173752(v=nav.90).aspx
also check out if there are enough pieces of the item(s) are on the selected location.best regards

@archer89 Thank you for your suggestion, I should have mentioned. When I try and Create Pick, I receive the message "Nothing to handle.".
My item is currently in a shipping bin, which has been configured to Shipping. My location is configured to the following:
Require Receive
Require Shipment
Require Put-Away
Require Pick
Bin Mandatory
Receiving Bin
Shipping Bin0 -

Hi @derekj22 did you solve this problem? I am having the same issue that I can't post the shipment that is originated from an outbound transfer. In my case the location only has Shipment Required, so no pick necessary.
Thanks, Pablo0 -
If you are getting the SAME error on a location that does not use picks then it sounds like that line has already been fully shipped.0

Hi @Kishorm. Thanks for replying again. My case is a bit different in that the items are at Location A that requires shipment and I need to transfer them to Location B which does not require receipt. No picks required neither location.
I create the transfer and then create the warehouse shipment. When I try to post the transfer ship I get a message that there is a shipment header that needs to be processed. Expected.
What is not expected is when I go to the Shipment card and try to post the Shipment I get a message stating: Posted 0 documents of 1. Some shipment lines remain.
Actually nothing ships.
Can you share any diagnosing provedure to find what else could be missing?
Appreciate it a ton!

You probably need to set the "Qty. to Ship" on the Warehouse Shipment or it could be something else that causes the posting to fail, e.g. "Posting Date" not in you allowed posting date range, or Dimensions not set, etc...
In order to get a more helpful error message instead of just a message telling you how many documents posted you should set the "Shipment Posting Policy" on "Warehouse Setup" to "Stop and show the first posting error" and then try posting the Warehouse Shipment again.0 -
BTW - since this is a completely different issue to the original posting you really should have created a new post and not tagged onto the end of this one.0

@Kishorm Again thanks for your help. You are right, I though it was the same issue and posted here instead of opening a new post.
Apparently problem solved when I could see what was going on after setting up the "Stop and show the first posting error". An inventory posting group setup was missing.0
