Dimension set entry in NAV 2009

Hi everyone,

I am a beginner in NAV. So, I would like to know is there any possibility of achieving Dimension set entry concept in NAV 2009.
If so then please suggest me I'll try that way.

I know from NAV 2013 but not sure in NAV 2009. Suggestion welcome. Can I try in NAV 2009 or it is never possible?

I will not recommend you yo implement the NAV 2013 concept of Dimension in lower versions. You will eventually mess the whole system. You should do the same way as of standard dimension thats given by Microsoft.

Possibility is another question but why are you planning to do that?

Upgrading to at least to NAV 2013 will be the best solution, i don't think there is a requirement to bring that feature in 2009.

+ What if your customer plan to upgrade to NAV 2013 or later version, how will you upgrade?

We have it already for 2013 and higher versions. But there is a customer who is asking it for NAV 2009R2 hence we have to do that. But anyway I tried and its now working fine. Thanks for the comment guys.
