I am using Microsoft Nav 2015 and I would like to ask a setting in item that I don't want to maintain the stock of item. so when I receive an item on warehouse receipt it won't increase the inventory
I see the non stock item already. but how can I choose the non-stock item into purchase order. in purchase order line I only see : item , G/L, fixed assed, item charge
Nonstock items is a feature for seeing and knowing items which you are able to purchase if there is a need. But for that, nonstock items have to be converted to real items before. There is no option to use nonstock items directly in a transaction.
It's a shame you are not on NAV 2016 as the Item table has a field called "Type" - if you set it to "Service" then it does exactly what you need. The MSDN help is not great on this...
