Table Planning Assignment

Hi everyone,

Has anyone come across this table before? What is it used for?
I checked MSDN definition but it wasn't clear for me.

The "Planning Assignment" table is there for performance reasons - it enables the system to skip planning for an item if there has been no change in supply or demand since the last plan was calculated. This link provides more info...
