Thanks friend. I appreciate your input. One of the developers I am working with told me the following:
"I’m sorry. I can’t work out how to use NAV Web Services with the Ariba Network. In all the examples I’ve found, Ariba sends cXML to a URL which is a web page (ASP – Active Server Page). The web page processes the cXML and responds with cXML. I can’t see how to set up a NAV Web Service to do this"
Personally I never worked on this cXML but I know that Ariba communicates with cXML. I have seen people questioning on how to handle this. Please check out this link it may help you.

In 2009 I never did but I worked on NAV 2013 R2, converted NAV webservice to HTTPS and then integrated with WEB which is too HTTPS.
