Dear All,

We are implementing Dynamics AX 2012 R3 and we are choosing either to go for SQL Std or Enterprise Edition. May i know what is the benefits if we go for Ent. Edition compared to Std? Will Ent. edition improve AX performance?

Thanks and Regards,
DK Garden.

On daily basis you shouldn’t get any difference between those editions of SQL Server. If you need more memory than 64 GB then you must use enterprise. Enterprise also has additionally features that are not available in standard edition.

It is often observed that the corporate sector has not been able to cope up with the same pace as the development of AX technology. Many companies are still unaware about the benefits that Dynamics AX can provide them. One reason for this indifference can be the cost factor. Here is one of the places that I found out offering really affordable dynamics ax solutions. check it out http:dynamics.folio3.com/
