Error in Phone & Tablet client

We experience an error in the Phone and Tablet clients. We can connect to the service, the role center appears, but within a second an error occurs; the screen turns blue and says:
This happens on NAV 2016 CU5. It worked OK in CU3.
It also happens in a vanilla CRONUS environment.
I don't know yet for sure that it happens in CRONUS; I am re-testing this
Any ideas?

This happened when a control, the first control on the page, showing a JavaScript Control Add-In, was set to NOT visible from code, in the OnOpenPage Trigger.
When the control remained visible it would function as designed.Jan Veenendaal6
