NAV 2016 - Page 31: Action Groups/Customize Ribbon

Hello -

If I customize the ribbon on the Item list, I see numerous "action groups" for the reports (as per attached picture).

Where are these coming from?

My specific issue: have upgraded a client from 2015, and they would like similar Report tabs. But those additional groups are not available when we do Customize Ribbon.

Those action groups on the Item List are a result of some out of the box personalization done by Microsoft. There are other pages that have personalization as well out of the box. I believe the personalization is done at the role level.

Hey rdwyer2014 ,

I will recommend to have a look on the Role Centre page. There you will find the list of reports attached that you are identifying here. For e.g if it's a Order Processor Role Center Page then you should see Page 9006. You can simply navigate to About this page of the Role center and there you will find the exact page ID.

@daborg - Yes, that's what I suspected.. But where is that data stored? I've already transferred the Profile Metadata with no change.

most of the ribbon's group & tab captions are like most captions embedded in resource assembly Microsoft.Dynamics.Nav.Language.resources.dll. you can find it in <RTC base folder>/<lang code> (e.g. en-US).
