SQL Server 2014 High Availability Group

Hello everybody!
We had a quick research over this, but the hits seem to mean something different, so here is my question.
We have a SQL 2014 hgih availability group configured for a NAV 2009 R2 database (we use classic client). When we connect to the group the login form of the client changes the sql server name from the group name to the name of the active node and the name remains in the login form. So if we would have an offline situation of the node and the other node is set as primary, someone has to change the name of the former primary node to the group name, so that the reconnect would work for the new primary.
Is there a possiblity for NAV to remain for the group as database server?
I hope this question was not asked before and didn't find it. Any ideas on this are appreciated!
Thank you in advance!
Regards, Chris

It is possible to set the database and servername in the shortcut that is used to open NAV. Does it accept your servergroup name as servername? In that case it would override the last used servername.

Thank you, Jan, for this idea. We have kind of a complex terminal server configuration, etc. and I don't know if this is feasible, I'm not quite famliar with that implementation, I will check with the admin if there are any reasons that could deny that solution. We will give it a try.
Any other ideas, of course, would be appreciated.

Thank you. We find this as a feasible solution. It would be interesting if the NAV classic client would basically be able to handle this. Maybe even during runtime?0
