NAV 2015 (CU9) using & char in Code Field

Hi to all,
my customer inserted a vendor with 'A&B' in "No." field. NAV doesn't any error.
But when I need to lookup this vendor, it shows me "Not found".....
Instead if I search a vendor, using 'A?B' filter serach, I found it.

Is there a rule for this case or it's a bug of client?

It is normal behaviour. NAV has always worked like that. How to avoid it? Educate the users.

I agree, but it is clear that if NAV allows it (create a code with the character &), the user asks the question

Best practice is to never to use special characters in fields.
